The Damn Newsletter-- The Right to Vote

Greetings and Salutations,

Mirror Mirror on the wall, what is the...you know what why finish it...y'all know you're rockin with the best...let's get into it! Ha!

Some of you may know as reported on Facebook and Twitter I have pneumonia. Yeah, I know...insert comment about me taking care of myself here____________________________________________. Got it out of your system. Cool. Please believe I'm following the doctor's orders and I'm going to be fine. But my goodness, between the 2 co-pays (and another one in 10 days) 3 prescriptions, and inhaler...the next time I get sick its Nyquil, an infinite amount of Gatorade and vicodin...er Tylenol. That's it. I can't afford to get sick time wise or finacially.

As some of you may have noticed I have changed up the Newsletter some. I will no longer send an email of the newsletter. It will be a link to this site www.thedamnnewsletter.blogspot.com. I have major plans for it, making it a website in the next few months. Yeah, I know I'm kinda a big deal! Lol. What does that mean to you? Well more newsletters, less time between newsletters, and for you writers...guess spots where you can be read by a 1,000 people. Spread the word...the Damn Newsletter is back!!!

Now Shout Out of the Week goes to a person who gave me the idea (although I have dragged my feet on it) and is a constant inspiration and movitvator...Arkeedah McCormick. Arkeedah is a model and has been doing it since the age of 3. Yeah, 3 years old. Not limited by one skill set Arkeedah is also a writer. Author of www.itsarkeedah.com, Arkeedah shares her insight and views of the modeling industry, fashion, and so much more. And with 5,000 views, it obvious that her opinion is greatly valued. Thanks Arkeedah!

So the election is coming up. Now I'm not the poster boy of politics so I won't begin to tell you who to vote for. Honestly...I don't really care. Sure I have my own opinions about things but that's not the purpose of this newsletter. If you're over 18 years old (and I know most of you are) and your first and only time voting was the last Presidential election, then you should be ashamed. It's called the right to vote...right meaning that which is due to anyone by just claim, legal guarantees, moral principles. Not to bore you with a history lesson, our predecessors fought for this right for all of us. No matter what your religion is, your color or your creed. I don't want to get preachy but hey it's voting...it's not hard. Plus you can get some time off work in order to do it. To me...that's a win win, but...

Those are just my thoughts...right or wrong...just what I'm feeling at the time.
