And It Kills Me...

I'm Back...Season 6 starts now!!!

So glad to be writing again. I know I owe you all an apology. I didn't hadn't wrote a newsletter in a while and I didn't do the Damn Awards. Honestly, I was doing way too much and I was a bit burned out. I didn't want to give you crap just to say I was writing. You all deserve more than that. Some of you have been with me since the very first Newsletter...anywho...I hope you understand.

IDLE of the Peach! We have come a long way and they continue to grow. Yes, they are now the toast of the Shreveport Indie Music Scene and now they want more. They have another show at the Riverside Warehouse in Shreveport on March 6th. If you haven't heard them live you are doing yourself a great injustice. Come out and check them out. I will be in the building that night!!!

Ah, Shout Out of the Week...This week's shout out goes to TaWanna Bennett and Shakeya Bennett Rodgers. Not only are you two women some of the strongest in the history of the world, you are also the coolest and most down to earth as well. Your family has endured great stress these last few months but you all are still standing. I'm so privileged to know you both and I know that your dad is looking down at you with proud eyes!

I was listening to the radio and I actually listen to that Melanie Fiona song...you know really listened to it. Wow, that's some kind of love she got going on...and it may not be healthy. Well it got me to thinking...I have had a few "unhealthy" loves before (Please people stop snickering) and I know people that have had some as well. The question is why. My guess is that this person may be what you want but not what you need. Oh sure you may feel like you need them...believe me...*sigh* but you have to look at the signs. Here's the best advice I can give you. Take a deep long look at yourself...I mean really. Evaluate your personal, professional, and family goals. Then make a list. You need someone who will complement you. If you are writing down you need a listener, who is generous, financially stable, and is driven; and you mate is never listens, is broke and when they do have money never thinks about you, and sits at home doing absolutely nothing...YOU HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM!!!! Don't fall into the complacency, people!
Honestly if the writing is on the wall, you know what you have to do, but...

Those are just my thoughts...right or wrong...just what I was feeling at the time...
