The Damn Newsletter -- A Hold It Down Chick (Encore Presentation)

Greetings and Salutations,

Here is the second newsletter of the 3D for your reading pleasure. Sometimes I wish I could give you all two or three newsletter a week all the time. For most of you I have heard these issues are one of the high points of your week, and I will be eternally grateful for all of your support. However without any further ado ladies and gentlemen let's start our show.

Personally for me, this week has been pretty quiet. I don't have any major things going on in my life at all. It was really cut and dry. Surprisingly for most of you this personally uneventful week is a major reason for the title of this week's issue. Stay tuned for how this correlates.

On the opposite end of the spectrum this week, professionally speaking has been very busy. Between revisions to the business plan, staff meetings, and obligatory phone calls, I barely had time to breathe. I even spoke to a very talented emcee/DJ about signing to my label. He seemed very enthusiastic about a possible deal especially after I revealed a couple of ways I would market him. As always, stay tuned for updates about this potential artist.

I thought this would be interesting to most of you to know that I currently have about 150 people that receive this newsletter every week. I have two reasons why I mention this. I have a couple of people who has given me their email but for some odd reason they STILL cannot enjoy the newsletter weekly.

Elaine Butler (Hi Mom!!!)
DeCourtney Wade
Zakkiyya Smith
Isaac Henderson
Tashombe Hardy

Just to name a few!!!

If you know these people please help me in getting their newsletter correct, so they may receive a newsletter so hot that I have to wear oven mitts to type it. Secondly if you have friends, family members, or any other person in your life who would enjoy this newsletter, please give me their email address. With your help, WE can rule the world.

It's shout out time, people!!! This week's recipient goes out to Abigail Whitaker. Abigail or "Abs" if you will is doing big things. She is not only holding down Houston, not only expecting her first child in November, not only working as the administrative assistant of the Senior Vice-President of Artist Relations for my label (that is a lot of not only isn't it) but she has some of the most innovative nicknames imaginable. (And I say that not because I made them all up but because it's true. Her nicknames include "Abs of Steel", "Washboard Abs", and my personal favorite, "8 Minute Abs". I guess what I am telling you is to keep up the "abspectional" work. Ha Ha Ha!!! I am a genius for that one!!!

I have been doing some thinking people. I live a life of limited personal activities and overwhelming professional activities. Most would call me a workaholic. I can't really argue with that assessment. This is what I do. I feel like maybe I made need some balance and who could give me more balance than a quality girlfriend. Now let's get a couple of things straight. I am not saying that I am going back on my original resolutions of getting into a relationship,
nor am I saying that a girlfriend would not complicate my life. All I am saying is for the sake of this particular newsletter hear me out. So at this point I will give a few qualities of what I would like to call, "A Hold it Down Chick"

1) Intelligence- this quality is the most precious to me. It is not being just plain book smart but having a broad intellect in a variety of subjects. (Especially in music)

2) Understanding- I am a hustla point blank. And if you read the last newsletter you should know how important this is for me.

3) Charisma- I have been told that I graduate at the top of my class from "What to Say School" (at least that is what my mom tells me) so clearly I need a woman who could charm the ghetto out of Lisa Raye. (For the record that is a lot of charm)

4) A Master Debater- All jokes aside from this one I need a woman who can go toe to toe with me when I am at my most pigheaded. This is the one that could stop me from a working binge.

5) Generous- I am a very charitable person and I need a person who is not so into herself that she will not care about anyone else

I am sure that there are more but for now...Those are just my thoughts...right or wrong...just what I was feeling at the time.
